About Eligibility and You 

* You have graduated within the last five years. 

* You will be graduating by May 2022

* You have an associate degree or a four-year degree.   

* You are curious and flexible, with a collaborative mindset.

* You are practical and results oriented. 

About the Role 

* Each of the fellowships will be a one-year fellowship and provide company designated benefits.   

* The fellowship is a gateway for positions within Swiss Re group or other partner companies in the insurance industry, however, employment beyond the one-year period is not guaranteed.  

* You will be assigned to a coach, facilitating the onboarding to our team and providing you guidance during your one-year fellowship.  

* A well-thought-through curriculum has been prepared for you, underpinning your fellowship and easing your entrance into the insurance industry.  

*The salary ranges from $65,000-$80,000 for the fellowship.

About the Fellowships 

 Operations and Risk Management (Boston, MA)

You will work closely with the Head of Insurance Operations and the Chief Risk Officer.

Risk: You will frame and analyze complex business problems, identify opportunities and partner with the managers to drive execution, governance, and communication. You will work collaboratively across the business to inform and influence decision making, ensuring alignment of tactical decision with the strategic objectives of the business.

Operations: Support the transformation of how we work creating gratitude and grace across the end-to-end organization enabling the closure of protection gaps in the communities we serve. Key activities may include creating a clear understanding and transparency of current operational performance by creating balanced scorecards and dashboards to drive proactive decisions; partner with those doing the work to develop and test countermeasures aimed at improving operational stability and performance; and improve how the Operational Excellence team.

 Data Analyst (Boston, MA)

You will be driving the key data initiatives leveraging deep dive analysis, segmentation and slicing and dicing of results to extract actionable insights. You will work with business to identify ways to achieve strategy using analytics and technology and improve conversion rate. You will provide business and customer insights based on data analysis and funnel conversions.

Products & Propositions (Boston, MA)

You will work within the Product Management function which is responsible for defining and planning desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet customer and distribution needs. You will support building out agile product management processes that drive a consistent approach across the organization and streamline cross functional coordination and engagement with business SMEs as well as IT Product Owners.

IT Development Services (Boston, MA)

You will be working on several of the key technology initiatives leveraging cutting edge data, cloud, and integration technologies. Working within Technology solution team, you will be involved in designing, developing, or servicing end to end applications. You will be involved in dealing with Database, client side and server-side components, UI, and integration of the application.   

 North America Regional Services Operations Data Analyst (Kansas City, MO)

You will provide business and customer insights based on data analysis. You will identify trends reaching meaningful conclusions that will advise strategic business decisions through the manipulation of large data sets, work close and communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and formulate analytics solutions. You will also design and implement analytic models and visualizations to provide impactful data insights, assist partners with data-related functional and technical issues, create appropriate documentation that allows others to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis, and engage with management to prioritize business and information needs.

 Our Opportunity in Reinsurance: Treaty Underwriting Analyst  (Location: Schaumburg, IL (preferred) , Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, Armonk, NY)

You will support our underwriting team in developing and underwriting new and existing busines opportunities within our Portfolio Underwriting initiative. You will support implementation of the marketing strategy and driving operational efficiency within the portfolio. You will also help with the origination and underwriting of Property & Casualty (P&C) treaty business in compliance with the appropriate guidelines while focusing on efficiency in approach. You will help develop and maintain a broker professional network to support profitable business origination through the US Broker market within the US Regional client marketplace. You will gain knowledge and understanding of the operations, structure, and issues regarding assigned programs. This position could include some limited travel activities.
