The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Scholarship program is open to any city of Chicago student who graduated from a CPS high school (Charter schools included) in the spring of 2018 and meets the following criteria:
-Complete an online application with essay.
-Must have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, at the time of graduation and be able to provide a current high school transcript.
-Plan to attend and enroll as a FULL TIME student at any U.S. located, accredited, four year HBCU and upload a letter of acceptance. (Priority of selection will be students who will be enrolling at a.) UNCF member institution, or b.) any U.S. located, accredited, four year HBCU)
-Provide a recent SAT or ACT score report.
-One recommendation letter (Please download form from the supporting documents section to your right for assistance.)
Decisions will be rendered within 6-8 weeks of the closing of the program, and both selected and non-selected students will be appropriately notified via the email address provided on the application.
Reminder: Complete your online application within its entirety. It will not be accepted until you complete the prompts until the very end with the e-signature and date. There will be a big 'SUBMIT' button to click once this is ready for submission. Otherwise, it will not be deemed as completed nor accepted.
