Pursuing Academics with Support (PAWS)  Scholarship

Mars Petcare US, Inc. is pleased to offer the Pursuing Academics with Support (PAWS) scholarship.  This need-based scholarship will provide support to Black/African American students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM career field at any accredited, four-year, U.S. located institution. 

Selected scholarship recipients will receive up to $10,000 for the 2021-2022 academic year.  Selected scholarship recipients who meet the eligibility requirements, may be considered for Renewal.

Eligibility Requirements

*  Must be currently enrolled full-time at any accredited U.S. located four-year college or university at the time of completing the application.

*  Must be currently enrolled in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics academic department or program

*  Must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

*  Must complete a 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form.

*  Must have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by the applicant's college or university.

Application Requirements:

  • Submit a completed online application
  • Submit a one-page essay providing a personal statement of career interest
  • Submit an official or unofficial current academic transcript.

Applicants who have submitted complete applications will be notified of scholarship decisions within 8 weeks after the application closing date.
