Teague Design Scholarship

Teague is a design and innovation company that combines technology expertise with a deep understanding of human behavior to deliver what’s next for companies in automotive, aerospace, retail and e-commerce, smart cities, telecommunications, and technology. A leader in product, service, and experience design at the intersection of the physical and digital, Teague partners with bold brands that are reinventing the world, such as Amazon, Boeing, Google, Starbucks, and NASA, to discover new opportunities and solve complex problems to shape the future.

Confronting the status quo to design preferred futures is a brave endeavor that requires diverse voices, experiences, and backgrounds. In partnership with UNCF, Teague will provide 4 need-based scholarships to college juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in design and inspired to conceptualize, prototype, rethink, challenge, illuminate, and design the future.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applications for the Teague Design Scholarship must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Be persons of race other than white or who are of mixed race and identify as non-white
  2. Be enrolled as a full-time College Junior, College Senior, or College 5the Year Senior in Fall 2022, and attend any 4-year accredited college or university
  3. Have a minimum 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale
  4. Be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the U.S.
  5. Have a declared major in any of the following design disciplines to include industrial design, interior design, exterior design, design visualization, interaction design, graphic design, mechanical design, systems design, technical design, research, strategy, fabrication, and other design areas

 Application Requirements:

  1. Online application        
  2. Complete a 1-2 page personal statement of career interest.
  3. Current academic transcript.
  4. Design portfolio or a sample of design work. 


Scholars will be selected based on academic performance, the essay’s content and quality, and quality of design work sample.

Applications who have submitted complete applications will be notified of the scholarship decisions within 12 weeks of the application closing date.
