GEORGIA POWER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Georgia Power Foundation, in partnership with UNCF, has established the Georgia Power Foundation Scholarship to provide 22 need-based scholarships of up to $4,000 to junior and senior students enrolled at an HBCU (Historically Black College or University) in the state of Georgia during the 2022-2023 school year.
Applicants for the Georgia Power Foundation Scholarship must meet:
Eligibility Requirements
- Have a required minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national or permanent resident.
- Be enrolled full time as a junior or senior at any HBCU in the state of Georgia.
- Have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Have a demonstrated unmet financial need, as verified by the applicant's academic institution.
- Must be pursuing a STEM or a business-related degree program
Application Requirements
- Submit a completed application form
- Write a one-page personal statement of career interest
Applicants who have submitted complete applications will be notified of scholarship decisions within 8 weeks after the application closing date.
