The National Black McDonald's Owners Association (NBMOA) and McDonald's USA have partnered with UNCF to award scholarships to African American students interested in the hospitality industry. Awards will be disbursed for the 2017-18 academic year in July/August 2017.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens majoring in restaurant / hotel / hospitality management, accounting, business or marketing as full-time students at an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU) and have an interest in hospitality management. Dependents of either McDonald’s executives or NBMOA owners are INELIGIBLE for this opportunity nor are former recipients of the NBMOA scholarship.

Other qualifying criteria are currently enrolled college freshman (Class of 2019), sophomore (Class of 2018) or junior (Class of 2017) in classification with a 2.8 cumulative grade point average. DEADLINE FOR ELECTRONIC APPLICATION SUBMISSION IS 11:59PM Eastern time, June 16, 2017, by which time all recommendations must be received and transcripts uploaded.
