Wintrust Scholarship 2020

The Wintrust Scholarship is designed to provide two (2) merit-based scholarships to support Black/African American students from Illinois or Wisconsin majoring in finance, accounting, or economics. The scholarship will be disbursed in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. 

Recipients will be notified in writing within six weeks after the closing date. 

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Wintrust Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

*Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

*Be a resident of the state of Illinois or Wisconsin.

*Major in finance, accounting, or economics.

*Be a college junior (class of 2022).

*Be a current college student entering junior year, who is enrolled full-time at any UNCF member institution, other accredited HBCU, or an accredited Illinois college or university. Students attending a UNCF member institution will be given priority.

Application Process:

Applications must be submitted online and include the following:

*An essay about career interest.

*A letter of recommendation. (Family members and/or friends are not acceptable)

*A current transcript.
