The Moody’s UNCF Scholarship provides thirty-five two-year, need-based scholarships of $5,000 ($2,500 for junior year and $2,500 for senior year) to eligible Black/African American students.
Applicants for the Program must meet the following criteria;
Be Black/African American.
Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Be enrolled full-time at any four-year accredited college or university.
Be a rising junior (second semester sophomore) at the time of application.
Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by college or university.
Be enrolled full-time as a junior at the time of the award, at an accredited UNCF member institution, other HBCU, or four-year accredited college or university.
To complete the application package, you must:
Sign and submit an online application
Write a one-page personal statement of career interest (prompts and further instructions included in application)
Provide a current transcript
The scholarship will be renewed in the subsequent year if the student continues to meet the criteria.
