The UNCF Twin Cities HOPE Scholarship program provides scholarship opportunities for African-American students from the Twin Cities-Metro (Minneapolis/St. Paul area), restricted to these counties: Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, McLeod, Ramsey, Scott, Sherman, Stearns, Washington and wright.
Applicants for the Program must meet the following criteria:
- Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Students must be an undergraduate student (freshman through senior) who is enrolled full-time at an accredited, postsecondary institution.
- Students must submit a 500 word essay outlining career aspirations, leadership experiences, and most significant achievements
- Students must submit one letter of recommendation and a current transcript.
For Award consideration, all scholarship materials must be received by the applications deadline. Recipients will receive a merit-based scholarship.
