Kia America has continued its partnership with UNCF to provide need-based scholarship opportunities to current undergraduate students at accredited four-year institutions for up to $2,000. 

Kia America is one of the leading, innovative automobile manufacturers. The Kia Motor America STEM/ Sustainability Scholarship Program awards will be distributed during the 2022-23 Academic year.

Eligibility Requirements:

- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be enrolled full-time as a college or senior, who attends a UNCF member institution.
- Have filed a FAFSA and demonstrates unmet financial need as verified by your institution.
- Majoring in one of the following disciplines: 

  1. Sciences - Applied Sciences, Biology, Biomedical, Chemistry, Environment, Physics and Sustainability.
  2. Technology - Aeronautics, Automotive Sciences, Computer Programming, and Computer Science.
  3. Engineering - all fields, such as Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial and Mechanical, etc.;
  4. Arts - Architecture, Art, Art Studies, Design, Graphic Design, Fashion, Fine Arts, Studio Arts and Visual.
  5. Mathematics - Applied Math, Mathematics and Statistics.

Application Requirements:

For an application to be considered complete, the following must be submitted:

  1. A current college transcript;
  2. A personal essay (on your career interest);

*Preference will be given to students who are permanent residents of California.

Both selected and non-selected students will be appropriately notified.
