In honor of the memory of Etta Gray, a loving caregiver for the William Hipp family, this scholarship was established to assist students who have a permanent residence in Upstate, South Carolina (Greenville
Spartanburg, Anderson , Mauldin , Easley )and who are pursuing a technical certification (i.e. Computer Technology, PC Programming, and Networking) at specific technical colleges in Upstate South Carolina

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA REQUIREMENT

Eligible applicants for the Etta Gray Memorial Scholarship Program must meet the following criteria:

1. Enroll full time at one of the following schools:

Tri-County Technical College; Greenville Technical College;York Technical College;Piedmont Technical College;Northeastern Technical College; Spartanburg Community College  

2. Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA or better on a 4 scale.

3. Permanent residence in Upstate South Carolina, Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson , Mauldin , Easley 

4. Pursue a technical certification in one of the following fields of study: Computer Technology, Information Systems, Information Technology, Network Administration, PC Programming

5. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form and  demonstrate an unmet financial need as verified by the office of financial aid. 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENT

For consideration, applicants must submit the online application complete with the following required application materials by the application due date of  March 31, 2022:

 1. Provide validation of progress toward completion of the certificate  

 2. Current transcript 

 3. Autobiographical essay 

First time applicants must register/create a profile. Selected students will receive up to $5000 one-time, need based scholarship award in the Spring 2022.
