Eunice Walker Johnson was a business leader and humanitarian, particularly concerned with the encouragement of African American youth. Mrs. Johnson was the producer and director of the world's largest traveling fashion show, Ebony Fashion Fair, which has donated some of its proceeds to UNCF. Through her generous donation, UNCF will be awarding scholarships up to $5,000 in the 2021- 2022 academic year to students attending one of the 37 UNCF member HBCUs.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on the 4.0 scale.
- Must file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) each year.
- Must have demonstrated unmet financial need, verified by the student’s college or university’s financial aid office.
- Must be enrolled full-time at a UNCF member institution. A listing of UNCF member institutions can be located at https://uncf.org/member-colleges.
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must submit via UNCF’s online scholarship application portal by March 10, 2022. All parts of the application must be completed and submitted by the deadline.
- Essay – Applicants must submit a one-page personal statement online, regarding the student’s career goal interest.
- A transcript from Fall 2021.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants who have submitted complete applications will be notified of scholarship decisions within 8 weeks after the application due date.
