The UNCF Black Educators Scholarship Program is a need-based, competitive scholarship program for education majoring students who attend full time at a UNCF member college or university or other accredited four-year HBCU.
Applicants for the Program must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a minimum, cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
- Be currently enrolled and verified as a junior or senior;
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) form and have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their college or university;
- Be a full-time student attending a UNCF member college or university or other accredited four-year HBCU.
The student must submit an online application for the proram, complete with a letter of reference, a one-page personal statement of career interest and a current transcript. The application shall be available via the UNCF website at www.uncf.org All application materials must be received by the deadline, October 7, 2020.
Select students will recieve up to $2,500 award based on need. The schlarshps awards are renewable for one more year based on availability of funds and the students meeting the eligibility criteria.
