The Lee Summytt Scholarship Program was created because of educator Mrs. Lee Ella Summytt.  Mrs. Summytt was a college educated women who taught school for several years in Missouri.  Even though she and her husband had no children of their own, she fostered several children and grandchildren.  This spunky women continued to work and volunteer well into her 80's.  Because of her love and concern for children and their education, this scholarship was created to assist children in the St. Louis, Mo area with college cost.  

The Lee Summytt Scholarship Program will support graduating seniors from Webster Grove, Brentwood, Maple Wood or Richmond Heights High School in St. Louis, Missouri.   Students like Mrs. Summytt, must also possess strong leadership qualities. 

Applicants are required to complete the Student Application Form and invite two recommenders to write references.
